Of course, not literally. I let her out in the back yard one morning this week. Suddenly she takes off like shot. I look up, and she's running straight toward a huge buck with a big set of antlers. She is literally on his hooves and looks like she's going to jump at him. He looks down at her like "where did this little creature come from?". Then I think he realized she may have sharp teeth, and he took off. She chased him to the edge of the yard where the electric fence stopped her. He kept going. For a dog that several seconds prior didn't want to go outside without her "mommy", she had no fear about an animal that could have kicked her, crushed her, tossed her with his antlers, and outweighed her by, oh, a few hundred pounds. She was smart enough to stop at the fence. My old dog, Barney, may have well kept going. Chief was late to the whole thing because Bella didn't even waste the energy to bark until the buck was out of the yard.
