Bella's tail is a defining feature. It's whip-like thin and can wag at marvelous speed. We also wonder quite frequently if she has any feeling in it as she often bangs it on the wall, cabinets, furniture without flinching or reacting. So it was quite noticeable the Sunday after Thanksgiving when it didn't wag. At all. In fact, it drooped like a sad limp string. Without her hyper, crazy, whip of a tail, she didn't seem quite like our Bella. Was it broken? I felt it carefully from base to tip. She didn't flinch or whimper. But she didn't move it either. All I could figure was she had somehow sprained it. Wagged a little too hard once. So the children and I went on tail watch. The next morning, it was still a sad display. By the time we got home that night, it still sagged but the end would at least move. Gradually, after about five days, her tail was back to normal, banging everything in site and moving at mach speed. Maybe she did sprain it. But we still aren't sure if she really does have feeling in it or not!
