Smaller, minimalist furniture is best for small kitchens. Use chairs with no arms and place a long table along a wall instead of in the center of the room. If at all possible, use stainless steel, which will cause light to bounce around and make the room feel bigger and look gorgeous.

Even if you have a small space as long as you are organize with your things and furniture all works well to become decorative.

My kitchen has a cheap, 4" x 4" white ceramic tile backsplash. Any ideas on how to jazz it up on the cheap? Can you remove say 2 rows of tile and install a different tile on those two rows or is this risky? And maybe a 4-row rectangle above the sink or stove? Do you have any faith in tile paint? Thanks for any ideas.
