I agree with you. A pergola is a perfect place to unwind. You can just sit there comfortably, or you can do something entertaining with your family or friends. Well, I love to spend time in our pergola. What I usually do is read a book. I can finish it in one sitting as I enjoy the sunshine and the cool wind. :) Sometimes, I just go there and play some music on my iPod.
