If you have young children (or grandchildren), you see plenty of artwork come home. The problem becomes what to save, how to save it, and how to get rid of what you don't save without the youngsters knowing. I have storage containers full of art and special projects. But now I have a better idea. Turn their best creations into your own family art gallery.
Our school offered professional framing of the kids' artwork at a reasonable price. The art program raised a few bucks in the process too. So I had four pieces framed and hung them in an upstairs hall that needed some pizzazz.
The hall has been brought to life. The kids are thrilled with their own "gallery." And I didn't bankrupt the savings account. A win all around. And I still have room left for next year's masterpieces.
Next time you're thinking about storing or throwing your latest "Picasso", consider framing it and decorating your home with it.
