The popular way to display photos these days are in groups. Maybe two or three or a whole group. The most interesting combinations use multiple sizes, balanced but not necessarily symmetrical. Use the same frames for a cohesive look. Many stores and catalogs, such as Pottery Barn, offer coordinating sized frames and even pre-arranged groupings.
You may want a specific theme (baby pictures, sports action shots, artistic shots, candids) or to use black and white photos. Update and change whenever you want.
In our case, my husband got a special deal on Amazon for a package of frames. I then printed photos from our digital camera on our photo printer. Easy, inexpensive, and it adds interest to a formerly boring wall.
