I'm looking forward to receiving your newsletters. I'm a retired senior citizen on a fixed income, sort of a "champaigne appetite on a beer budget" type.

Welcome Barbara. I hope I can help you find lots of great ideas that will leave your friends envious and your savings account still open!

After reading your article entitled "10 Ways to Survive Building or Remodeling Your Home" on www.homeandgardenmakeover.com, and laughing through most of it, I decided to check out this site. We are in the middle of a major remodel (our house is growing from 983 sq ft to 2090 sq ft), doing a lot of work ourselves and subcontracting the rest out. Much of the article hit home, as you can guess. Your humor and willingness to share your knowledge is much appreciated. I just signed up for the newsletter and look forward to checking out the rest of the website. :-)

Suzanne, Welcome. Thanks for your kind words. Take a look around. There's a little bit of everything on My Home Redux, but I've found that doing a house - and the constant redoing, updating, finishing a house - entails just about everything.

Let me know how the building goes and if you have any questions. Or share your horror stories - you're certain to have a few (unfortunately). Good luck.

I am thinking of osme home improvement and I may ask you for some ideas for it but I should talk with my husband before that.Everything depends on him.

I am impressed by your post! And completely agree with you that home is one of our greatesr investments and home improvement should be done quite often. Of course if we want everybody to admire our nest we should pay more attention to fashion rules. The perfect way for this is through reading newspapers, magazines, watching special TV programs and so on.

i want to receive your newsletters.thanks

i wanna have redux newsletter!!

Julie, I love your down-to-earth, common-sense posts. Sure to help many folks. Home decor and repair can be hugely expensive. It is crucial to have good advice in order not to make a costly mistake. I wish you all the best with your venture.

We were debating on whether to make certain improvements to our house but after reading your post we have decided to go ahead with them. Excellent post, thanks for the advice!

I beleive that homes are created by the owner by using their love for color, fabrics and furniture. These can be inexpensive or expensive items; but they are all the owner's personality.

our homes are really our precious investments so we must take good care of them...

Thanks for the information...I bookmarked your site, and I appreciate your time and effort to make your blog a success!
