Judging by the most plentiful colors shown at the fabric store I was at this weekend, here are the top home decorating colors for 2005: red, red, and more red. Half of the store was red. Soft greens, muted moss and seafoam. Golds and yellows. Light blue paired with white or yellow. Pink - bright carnation and deep vivid rose, not the muted mauve of years past, but pink that makes a statement. There was virtually no navy and absolutely no emerald greens or purples. I saw a few patterns with black backgrounds with, you got it, RED accents and a couple tan/taupe patterns. As far as the patterns, flowers are big, both in terms of most of the patterns are flowered and some of the flowers are "in-your-face" big and bold. I saw very only a couple striped fabric and just a few plaids, most of which were in the light blues and greens.
